Package: libsnmp-base
Version: 5.7.2~dfsg-8
Severity: serious

Hi,

On ia64, net-snmp-config --cflags returns the following flags:

-DNETSNMP_ENABLE_IPV6 -fno-strict-aliasing -g -O2 -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -Wformat -Werror=format-security -DNETSNMP_USE_INLINE -Ulinux -Dlinux=linux -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE -DDEBIAN -fstack-protector -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -I/usr/local/include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -I/usr/lib/perl/5.14/CORE -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -I. -I/usr/include

Which is not compatible on ia64:

warning: -fstack-protector not supported for this target

This is curently causing collectd to FTBFS on this architecture.

Cheers,

Laurent Bigonville
