Package: snmpd
Version: 5.8+dfsg-2
Running snmpd on a system with no ipv6 support at all makes syslog go
crazy with repeated lines every 2-3 seconds like the following :
Nov 8 06:16:42 hostname snmpd[744]: ipaddress_linux: could not open
/proc/net/if_inet6: No such file or directory
Nov 8 06:16:45 hostname snmpd[744]: ipaddress_linux: could not open
/proc/net/if_inet6: No such file or directory
Nov 8 06:16:46 hostname snmpd[744]: ipaddress_linux: could not open
/proc/net/if_inet6: No such file or directory
Nov 8 06:16:48 hostname snmpd[744]: ipaddress_linux: could not open
/proc/net/if_inet6: No such file or directory
Nov 8 06:16:51 hostname snmpd[744]: ipaddress_linux: could not open
/proc/net/if_inet6: No such file or directory
Nov 8 06:16:54 hostname snmpd[744]: ipaddress_linux: could not open
/proc/net/if_inet6: No such file or directory
In previous versions the logging happens once . Can you please fix it?
