Nope.  I just am not used to juggle gdb and therefore haven't had a need 
for it.

It should be as simple as adding a netatalk-dbg package to the control 
file, then CDBS should automagically set the right flags.  Or rather, 
add it to the control.in file, commit it to git, and auto-generate 
control with this command:

  debian/rules clean DEB_MAINTAINER_MODE=1

...and then commit the result as a separate git commit (after checking 
what CDBS actually did, and make sure you understand it or else ask 
here, and document it in changelog).
