[Pkg-netatalk-devel] Backporting patches

The following unreleased patches from upstream Netatalk
(branch-netatalk-2-2) fix problems that we've run into in the field:

322ac2 Enhance handling of connection attempts when hitting the
connection limit [1]
c3e17c Fix handling of large number of volumes [2]

We also enable the "follow symlinks" option for some of our shares;
the following may occur for our customers, though I haven't actually
heard any bug reports about it.

168d05 Fix error in ad_openat(), bug #532 [3]

Would there be any objection to backporting these patches to Debian?
Should I file Debian bugs for them, or is it generally OK to just
apply upstream patches that haven't yet made it into a released
version?
