This is fixed by this patch:

You can find the fix in nftables version 0.9.1-3 which was uploaded to Debian on
Thu, 15 Aug 2019.

Any chance you can use a newer version? For example, you have 0.9.3-2~bpo10+1 in
buster-backports.
