Package: libmnl-dev
Version: 1.0.4-3build2
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: lars.g.ekman at est.tech

Dear Maintainer,

 # gcc -o /tmp/hello /tmp/hello.c -lmnl
(dynamic libs work)
# gcc -static -o /tmp/hello /tmp/hello.c -lmnl
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmnl: No such file or directory

Since this is on Ubuntu 22.04 I reported the bug here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libmnl/+bug/1971523

but was told that this is a Debian bug and asked to report it to you
to improve the quality of the original package.
