Thanks for the quick turnaround (even if the NEW queue is slow) :D

While waiting for the package to make its way into unstable, I've been working on more complete autopkgtests, the current draft is here (I could also commit it to an experimental branch in salsa if you prefer):

It's a separate script because I plan to submit it upstream, and I want it to be useable from Github workflows as well as from autopkgtest. Could you have a look and see if it's ok before I submit it upstream? (I'm assuming it might be more difficult to change the script once it's been accepted upstream).
