Package: nvidia-kernel-source
Version: 169.12-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
After upgrading the nvidia-kernel-source package, then de-tarring it, I
compiled it, it gave me a .deb file stamped 169.12, I installed it
straight forward with dpkg, then I could upgrade nvidia-glx.
I restarted the X server, and it failed showing me this error:
"API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has version 169.09, but the
NVIDIA driver component has version 169.12"
the same problem still occurs even doing these
# rmmod nvidia
# modprobe nvidia
and even when restarting the whole system.
