Hi,

I got a little impatient and decided to try build the new drivers for Debian
myself.

I must thank you for the framework you've put into nvidia-kernel-source.

I just had to change:

In upstream_info:
RELEASE=169.07
NEXTVER=169.09

and

elif [ "$DEB_BUILD_ARCH" = "i386" ] ; then
        BASE_URL=ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/${RELEASE}
        DIRNAME=NVIDIA-Linux-x86-${RELEASE}-pkg1
        FILENAME="$DIRNAME.run"
                                                                       ^^^^^

And a simple dch to use the new version and I was able to get the new version
packages built. Was there anything else also required ?

I'm currently using them and it looks like I've done it correctly. Thank you.

Is there a way I can help you ?
If you guide me a bit I can prepare the patch (or a package), which you could
upload to Debian archives soon.

Ritesh
