[pkg-nvidia-devel] Bug#519792: amd64 and driver from nvidia.com

Hi!

I understand that mplayer-packages must work with other software from
the repos. I read this as the problem is with how the vdpau libraries
are supplied in different versions of the driver?

Is this effect also if I use drivers from nvidia directly and not
relying on the version in dbian repos?

I am using amd64(for debian release "testing") packages and have the
latest driver from nvidia.com and it would be so nice to be able to use
vdpau without having to compile from svn and dealing with all the
dev-packages required...
