Nope, I just checked.  Nvidia currently has no plans to update the 71xx
series for xorg 1.5/1.6 because updating 96xx turned out to be much more
work than they had expected.  A bit of a shame given so far they had
supported every card very well.  Certainly far beyond any support ATI
has ever provided for cards that weren't currently for sale.

Some people suggest trying Nouveau instead as a driver for some chips.
