I followed the instructions given in
http://desiato.tinyplanet.ca/~lsorense/debian/debian-nvidia-dri-howto.html

aptitude install nvidia-kernel-common
m-a -i -t prepare
m-a clean,a-i -i -t -f nvidia-kernel-source

BUILD FAILED!
buildlog attached.

This may be related to 520706, but I don't follow the resolution of that bug.
