This was a lot of random, unrelated things.  In the future, could you
please send these as separate packages that each do one thing?

(What would the other nVidia package maintainers feel like converting the
repository to Git to make it easier to handle patch review and
application?)

I separately already applied a patch for this, so I dropped this changelog
