The reported segfault is in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libfb.so, so at least
for a first pass I'm assigning it to xserver-xorg-core, which provides
that file.  I agree that xserver-xorg-video-vesa is probably an equally
valid place to assign it, though.

It's almost certainly not a GNOME problem except insofar as GNOME does
some sort of rendering call that's tickling the bug.
