[pkg-nvidia-devel] Bug#596898: libgl1-nvidia-alternatives: Updating almost any package breaks dri

  Thank you for answering.

1. No, apt-get -f install  does not do or change anything
2. Today's update was quite a lot of stuff (41 packages). I did it from 
the command line with apt-get as you recommended, but as far as I see , 
there is no useful output. And afterwards direct rendering had gone, as 
I (unfortunately) expected. Reinstalling libgl1-nvidia-alternative 
brought it back.
