Please try with a minimal /etc/X11/xorg.conf as described in
/usr/share/doc/nvidia-glx/README.Debian.gz instead of the xorg.conf
generated by nvidia-xconfig.
If this does not help, try a newer driver version. 260.xx drivers are in
testing, 270.xx in unstable.
