2.6.32-5-amd64 crashes as well.  I'll try 2.6.39-rc6 once I nab a working
kbuild.  I also have a feeling that ancient gcc might have something to do:
2.6.32-5 is built with gcc-4.3, 2.6.38-2 with gcc-4.4 (stock Debian
packages).  I'll try 2.6.39-rc6 with gcc-4.6 now.
