Hi Tony, hi Ivan,

just in case NVIDIA changed something, could you try the current version of 
nvidia-settings (270.41.06-1) from unstable?

Patches would be welcome, both for documentation and for autostart scripts.

At least there could be a button "Save these settings as defaults" or 
whatever.
(I must admit, I'm packaging this, but I'm not actively using it)
