Bug#661253: NVIDIA driver causes random X termination

I just thought I would add that, for reasons which are unlikely to be
interesting at this time, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin onto
the machine on a separate partition as a dual boot with Debian Unstable.
After a random period my session terminated and GDM started a new X
session. This happened twice, and then again a couple of times with
Debian Unstable. There seems to be no obvious fixed trigger to the
problem, but it does seem to be more likely as soon as rendering JPEGs
is involved.
