NMU that works around the libxvmc1 multiarch issue?

Hi Russ (or any other DD on this list),

would you sponsor a NMU of some package that somehow works around the
missing libxvmc1 multiarch support? As a result amd64 + nvidia + 32-bit
OpenGL apps are not working and are causing a constant stream of bug
reports.
Of course, I need to find a solution approved the the release team, first.
