Bug#719834: nvidia-cuda-toolkit: unneeded dependency on nvidia-opencl-dev

Package: nvidia-cuda-toolkit
Version: 5.0.35-6
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
nvidia-cuda-toolkit depends on nvidia-opencl-dev. I do not quite see why
this dependency is required, as any other top-level libOpenCL (and its
header files) should be usable with the Nvidia ICD. This is particularly
inconvenient since nvidia-opencl-dev does not seem to install a
libOpenCL.so development symlink. (I'll file that as a separate bug.)
Thanks,
Andreas
