Glad to hear that bumblebee works for you now!
About those GPU hangs, I doubt that using bumblebee would fix problems
with your Intel GPU (it doesn't interact with the i915 kernel module,
only with the proprietary nvidia one). There's hardly anything I can
do to help with this, sorry.
