Nearly one year ago I had a similar problem with driver version295.33-1.

Back then I could solve the issue by upgrading to version 304.37-1.
Now, I don't really remember when theses upgrades came in, I am using
nvidia-glx in version 304.88. So since a little while I have this random
freezes. I don't think it is a hardware related failure. Because after a reboot
(right after the system froze) my computer can run for hours without any
freezes.
>Is this a fresh wheezy installation done not long ago?
>Is this a "grown system" upgradeded from whatever old release to wheezy?
No it is not a fresh installation. I installed the system when wheezy still was the
official testing release.
>Please try the newer drivers from wheezy/backports.
I will give it a go. Thanks!
