I have nvidia geforce 7600GT graphic card, and I have to use
nvidia-legacy-304xx-driver, but unfortunately the drivers stopped
working after the new kernel (3.13) appeared in debian.
I checked the new drivers from the nvidia site (304.121) and they work
without a problem. I'm not good at packing packages, but I looked in the
source of the debian package, and they were only 2 nvidia binaries
downloaded form the nvidia site (32/64bit). So I downloaded the newer
versions and tried to make a package, and the package, actually
packages, built successfully. I installed them, and the drivers seem to
be working.
There's also info on the nvidia site:
Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display Driver NVIDIA Recommended
304.1210 March 11, 2014
Release Highlights:
Improved compatibility with recent Linux kernels.
Fixed a bug that prevented the NVIDIA implementation of the
Xinerama extension protocol requests from being used when RandR was
enabled. Updated nvidia-installer to add '/usr/lib/i386-linux/gnu'
to the search path for installing 32-bit compatibility libraries on
Debian GNU/Linux systems.
Could you pack the new version of the nvidia drivers?
