No problem with that. It's true that it is a bit long but I prefer that and having a rock solid damn stable OS than a cutting edge unstable one.

Of course it is still possible to downgrade the kernel but annoying when you need to perform updates again.

Please be patient, Vincent uploaded the packages with the fixes to the backports queue, but now they need approval from the FTP overlords. It might take from a few hours to a few days, but eventually they'll be available in jessie-backports.
