new kernels, new versions of the package... This is a follow up mail.
Mostly the same experience :)

>From testing running on nouveau, I installed :

# apt-get install linux-image-amd64 linux-headers-amd64 nvidia-driver -t sid

it fails to load the module even tho is correctly built (relevant bootup
log: journal.sid)

afterwards I tried to upgrade from sid to experimental with:

# apt-get install nvidia-driver -t experimental

it segfaults during the installation. log saved directly from screen with
gpm since it isnt save to any log (attached logs: nvidia.segfault,
apt.frozen)

# dpkg --configure -a

to finish the installation and it fails to load after the boot up
(obviusly, since it failed to build during the installation)

Afterwards i purge everything nvidia related and

# apt-get install nvidia-driver -t experimental

It installs okay (no segrault during installation), but it fails to load.
For some reason, it refuses to mount the drivers after the nvidia driver
segfaults (Attached log: fail.load, bootup.log)



On the bright side, this time I didnt need to remove xorg.conf to get back
to nouveau driver after purging nvidia-drivers packages :)
