Hi,
We're working on the transition to xserver 1.18, which is already available in
experimental.
For the drivers in main, all build fine except for:
xserver-xorg-input-aiptek
xserver-xorg-video-openchrome
xserver-xorg-video-intel builds fine for the experimental version, so we may
just upload that to unstable when the transition starts.
I didn't check the drivers that don't build on x86:
xserver-xorg-video-freedreno
xserver-xorg-video-geode
xf86-video-omap
Please check those.
As for the non-free drivers, nvidia-* already supports this new version. fglrx
doesn't though, that needs an update.
While we have tested the new xserver, we have limited hardware and haven't
tested most drivers. So please give your driver some testing against the new
xserver.
I'd like to start this transition ASAP. We will binNMU the drivers that can be
rebuilt unless you say you want to do a sourceful upload for some reason. The
packages that don't get support for the new xserver promptly may need to be
removed from testing.
Cheers,
Emilio
