AFAIU this patch is now in jessie-pu (gnome-shell/3.14.4-1~deb8u1) and
should be included in the next stable point release.

(Either way, there's nothing that we pkg-nvidia maintainers can do
about this to begin with, so pinging this bug report doesn't really
help much...)
