Putting aside the merits of packaging the latest NVIDIA drivers, this
doesn't sound right.  My understanding of the current state of Java is
that the latest Oracle JDK is basically the same as OpenJDK, and we
certainly don't need NVIDIA libraries installed to build OpenJDK.

Are you sure you don't just need *some* OpenGL implementation, as opposed
to specifically NVIDIA's?  That's normally how this works.  There are
other, free implementations of OpenGL in Debian.  They will not be
optimized for your graphics card, but if all you care about is getting the
Oracle JDK to build and install, that doesn't matter.

Or maybe you meant that you also wanted to write and run OpenGL
applications written in Java, and therefore do need the accelerated OpenGL
drivers for your specific graphics card?
