The 173.14.xx legacy driver for Jessie.

Dear maintainer.
I have a new Jessie v.8.2.0 installation with a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 card and
installed the 304.125 legacy driver. My system kernel log informs me that i
should use the 173.14.xx version instead, but the related packet only seems
to be available for Wheezy. Is it possible for you to compile it for Jessie
or can i just install it without any risk of instability? In the latter
case, do i need any tricks to perform this installation? (is that reverse
back-porting?)
The confusion was caused by this info page:
https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers#Version_173.14.35_.28legacy_GPUs.29
the link "supported devices" placed in the text section regarding the 304.125
version points to a long list that contains the FX 5200 card (the
equivalent list for the 173.14.35 version also contains FX 5200). In all
other aspects i found the info page good and informative.
I made a big effort to install the nouveau driver but without any luck, så
i think i am still aiming for a legacy driver.
I thank you in advance
/Rene.
