This is a Debian stretch system running on an Intel i7-3520M [0] with
only the integrated graphics chip available.
Without my script, I get this:
$ vdpauinfo
display: :0 screen: 0
Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_i965.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Error creating VDPAU device: 1
$
When I (let my script) set $VDPAU_DRIVER to "va_gl" (from the libvdpau
-va-gl1 package [1]), things start to work:
$ VDPAU_DRIVER=va_gl vdpauinfo
