Hmm, looking at it again, this needs to be fixed in bumblebee-nvidia.

Package: bumblebee-nvidia
Depends: glx-alternative-nvidia (>= 0.6.92)

(note: glx-alternative-nvidia does not exist in Ubuntu)

in the postinst switch the alternative used from mesa-diverted to
/usr/lib/nvidia/bumblebee


and

Package: glx-alternative-nvidia
Breaks: bumblebee-nvidia (<< 3.2.1-10~)
(or whatever version fixes this)
