You have an optimus system, so you _must_ install bumblebee-nvidia
together with nvidia-driver, otherwise your X will be broken.
If the problem persist after doing that, run sudo update-glx --config
glx and select "nvidia-bumblebee", this will make sure the right
libraries are symlinked. But it won't be necessary if you install
bumblebee-nvidia, the system does that for you.
Unfortunately there is no way to reliably detect an optimus system
from a desktop, so we cannot automate this.
