Package: nvidia-driver
Version: 375.20-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

Maybe this bug is useful for users encountered bug with 375.20 .

As reported by Nvidia[1] there is a regression bug in 375.20 which
makes the driver unusable in some cases. Besides, one of my
schoolmates reported an black-screen and unable-to-start-xsession
phenomenon on Ubuntu 16.04 after having 375.20 installed.

He installed it with nvidia .run file. And now he's trying to
downgrade driver to 375.10 as suggested in [1].

There is no mean to fix this problem, nor nvidia itself.
This bug can be closed at the next time upstream version bump.
