Bug while upgrading from Debian 8.6 to Debian 8.7

did you reboot, yet?
Does the problem persist after a reboot?

If the problem persists, does this command succeed?

sudo /usr/lib/nvidia/check-for-mismatching-nvidia-module 340.101

Obviously it was hanging and you interrupted it with Ctrl-C

Please file a bug report with reportbug s.t. it collects more
information on your installation.
