Package: nvidia-driver
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
As mentioned here [1], it's no longer possible to download upstream software from the previously
used locations. The upstream server does no longer support the FTP protocol, however it does now
support HTTPS.
It seems that doing a '%s/ftp:/https:/g' on all watch and watch.in files in the SVN repository
(i.e. those in trunk as well as in the various branches) fixes the issue.
* What led up to the situation?
I was trying to manually build the deb packages (actually for version 384) from SVN, using
the instructions provided in README.source.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
- SVN checkout source tree, trying to build 384 branch:
* "uscan --report" fails to find upstream software
* "debian/rules get-orig-source" fails as well
* What was the outcome of this action?
- See above
* What outcome did you expect instead?
- Correctly identifying and download upstream software releases.
Thanks,
Robbert
