I managed to fix the crash, somehow.
I believe it's problem with primus package, as after purging and reinstalling nvidia/bumblebee/primus stuff, I got
glxgears working, BUT without primus.
If I try to install primus, apt attempts to remove stuff:
```
The following additional packages will be installed:
libgl1-nvidia-glx primus-libs primus-libs-ia32:i386
The following packages will be REMOVED:
libgl1-nvidia-glvnd-glx libgl1-nvidia-glvnd-glx:i386 nvidia-driver nvidia-driver-libs nvidia-driver-libs:i386
nvidia-driver-libs-i386:i386
nvidia-vulkan-common nvidia-vulkan-icd nvidia-vulkan-icd:i386
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libgl1-nvidia-glx primus primus-libs primus-libs-ia32:i386
```
Now, without primus, if I run glxgears, it does not crash, though it says it is using integrated graphics?
```
GL_RENDERER = Mesa DRI Intel(R) Haswell Mobile
GL_VERSION = 3.0 Mesa 17.2.2
GL_VENDOR = Intel Open Source Technology Center
```
