Reverting one change from 0.8.8 that activated some triggers seems to 
work around it. I've now now uploaded 0.8.8~deb9u2 with this revert.

It's reproducible in pbuilder by just installing glx-diversions 
0.8.8~deb9u1 in a minimal stretch chroot (as the one created by 
piuparts).
