Bug#939643: [bumblebee] does not work with nvidia drivers 430.40-2

Hi,

bumblebee stops working when I install nvidia drivers version 430.40-2.
Everything is fine, instead, with previous version 418.88-1.

The bug manifests itself as:

$ optirun glxgears

The Xorg.log file does not seem to have any additional relevant
information, but I am attaching it in case it helps.

This thread[1] seems to be related to the same problem, and it seems to
have a workaround, but I could not understand how to apply it.
