Dear Mr. Beckmann,

Sorry to bother you. I have seen from:
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/nvidia-cuda-toolkit
and
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/nvidia-graphics-drivers
that you are one of the main uploaders for those packages. I would really
appreciate it if you could resolve my confusion regarding these packages
and Debian. I have taken a look at:
https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers#Installation
and various community forums but I haven't found an answer.

Here's my situation, as briefly as possible:
For my capstone research project, I need to install CUDA 10.0 for cuDNN
7.4, to use with an older version of TensorFlow (probably 1.14), for some
code. I tried the latest possible versions of TensorFlow (TF), CUDA, etc.
However, the differences between TF1 and TF2 (mainly the removal of
contrib) means that I would need to migrate the code, and it might take
more time than I have. Another option would be to downgrade everything.

But that would mean I have to rollback my Debian system too, right? Or is
it possible to install the older versions on a later version of Debian? Or
perhaps you have another suggestion as you are much more experienced in
this.

Some further notes:
Debian is not listed in the Installation Guide for CUDA 10.0 (see:
https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/archive/10.0/cuda-installation-guide-linux/index.html#introduction).
Which version of Debian would be most suitable?
According to cuDNN's Support Matrix (here:
https://docs.nvidia.com/deeplearning/cudnn/support-matrix/index.html) the
appropriate driver for cuDNN is r410.48 with CUDA 10. I also don't see that
version of the driver at Debian's wiki for Nvidia Graphics Driver
Installation.

I would very grateful for any pointers you could give me. I'm quite new to
Linux.
Sincerely,
