Package: nvidia-driver
Version: 550.163.01-2
On default install of Debian 13 with KDE Plasma, in Wayland, graphics struggle. For example: the Signal desktop app displays a blank screen on startup, the same applies with Vesktop, and Joplin displays its menus - although dysfunctional - but with a blank screen as well. On top of this, apps like Harmonoid (a music app. See github.com/harmonoid if using to reproduce) have glitchy displays which flicker often. Frequent crashes occur even while resource usage is low. For me specifically, this is with an RTX 4060. I am using the 6.12.94+deb13-amd64 kernel, but this issue is also persistent on 6.12.90 and 6.12.86 in my testing. I am on KDE Plasma 6.3.6. In an X11 session this issue is not persistent. I am on libc6 2.41-12+deb13u3. I have reinstalled Debian the same way once, and both times this issue has immediately existed after installing it. It is possible this issue is more an issue in nvidia-driver-dkms. Or it may be in both packages. Or might be just an issue for specific kernels.
