how comes we are still at driver version 550?

Hi folks,

everybody on this list does a great job, but I wonder why we are
still stuck to NVidia drivers package 550? Are there some issues
with more recent versions recommended by NVidia?

Driver version 580.159.03 seems to provide support for Debian's
kernels in Trixie and Sid and more recent hardware (like the
Lenovo P1gen8) out of the box, AFAICT. See #1131926.
