I prefer to avoid repacking if possible. That was an interesting one,
but we can just exclude .git and .gitmodules at the time we run
git-import-orig.
debian/gbp.conf added and new upstream imported. Needs a lot of work
with the patches (I temporarily disabled al that failed to apply and it
built something without errors.)
If you get 1.0.2 fixed up tomorrow (wednesday, latest thursday morning),
I can still upload it before going on holidays on thursday.
