The ICD interface works for me (i5-3230M), which makes this bug _both_
hardware- and interface-dependent, which is weird.

Are you saying 1.0.0 didn't work for you at all, or are you saying 1.0.0
worked properly and this is a regression?
If it is a regression, the obvious next step is to find the commit that
introduced it, by a git bisect ("git help bisect" for instructions) from
Release_v1.0.0 to Release_v1.0.1 of the upstream repository
(git://anongit.freedesktop.org/beignet, build instructions:
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/Beignet/). Uninstall all other
ICDs (including Debian beignet) before doing this; to speed up the
process, you may also want to install ccache and set
PATH=/usr/lib/ccache:$PATH.
