Hello,

I'm resuscitating this oldish thread because I've finally found the
time to develop the patches to sort platforms by number of devices.
Per Vincent's suggestion, I'm going to send the patchset (3 cleanup
patches + 3 implementation patches + cover letter) to this mailing
list.
