I would suggest to do that :-)
But it may require talking to the admins, since "Transfer project" seems
to only show up under "General Settings" -> "Advanced Settings" for the
projects where I have "owner" permissions (which I don't have for the
stuff I imported to /Debian/).
But it must be possible, since I remember some mails from salsa (that I
had so far only considered as noise) notifying me about projects (that I
didn't know about) being moved:

    Project debian/xfonts-jisx0213 was moved to another location

    The project is now located under
    https://salsa.debian.org/fonts-team/xfonts-jisx0213
