Thanks. Do you want to see this fix in 1.6 now in order to sync it into 
Ubuntu 21.10 or is it sufficient if I include it once I move 1.7 from 
experimental to sid?
That patch will most likely not make the build pass on riscv, there are 
lots of testsuite failures ...
