Usually I import into the existing path and then copy to the versioned
path in my experience, but I don't know if it makes a lot of difference.
Why would you do it in the other order?
One drawback of that order is that you have to check out the
vendor/openldap-stable path in order to do the copy, I think, since I
don't think you can do a URL copy over an existing URL, whereas you can do
an import into an existing URL and then copy to the tagged version.
