Hello,

I'm going to tag this bug wontfix because after discussion with upstream,
they consider this a feature rather than a bug and I really doubt that
they'll ever re-implement this option.  It's also not the sort of thing
that I'd want to see Debian maintain as a local patch.

I agree with the idea of documenting it in README.Debian at the time that
you submitted your bug, but at this point, with etch releasing with a
version that requires schema checking, there probably isn't much point any
more.  All of the users upgrading to a new package would have already
adjusted to this, one way or the other.
