Ahem, ops... sorry... i'm speaking about debian etch, but i think you
have understood that i use also some ubuntu... on desktop/portable
system. ;)))

Ok, mystery solved. And seems that this is a final word.


Sorry, but at this point:

a) i suggest smbldap-tools mantainer to, at least, state this on
 some README: i've lost a morning beating head on the wall for that...
;)))

b) i still ask to libpam-ldap mantainer to provide a better 'suggested
 configuration': i will try myself to do some experimentation, but f
someone can at least make a hint...

c) i think also that the wiki have to report this. Someone have wiki
 access and can add this? I will make a login for myself, if none can...
